Ron Yerxa formed Bona Fide Productions with Albert Berger in 1993. Their producing credits include King of the Hill (1993), Election (1999), The Wood (1999), Pumpkin (2002), Cold Mountain (2003), Bee Season (2005), The Ice Harvest (2005), Little Miss Sunshine (2006) and Little Children (2006). Bona Fide’s executive producing credits include the Wilco documentary I Am Trying to Break Your Heart (2002), and Hamlet 2 (2008). Most recently, Bona Fide produced The Switch for Mandate Pictures and Disney.
Yerxa graduated from Stanford University in 1970. He worked in journalism and taught Upward Bound before receiving a graduate degree from UCSC in 1974. After a few years of free form exploration, Yerxa started his film career at Time-Life and then CBS Films before becoming a producer.
