A modern retelling of one of the world's oldest plays, The Suppliants by Aeschylus, in which 50 brides flee their arranged marriages and seek asylum in Italy. The grooms catch up with them, and all hell breaks loose: men and women throwing themselves to the ground, breaking things, songs and dances, barbies and wine everywhere—an over-the-top, physical world. Finally, unable to escape their forced marriages, the brides plot to murder their husbands, but one falls in love and refuses to murder her new spouse. Original script by American playwright Charles Mee, adapted by students from Porter College (UCSC).

Both performances at 3:00PM.
