A pop-up participatory art/science screen printing event, the Border Biodiversity project seeks to educate and engage participants in a social and environmental critique of current U.S. border policy. Come silkscreen science illustration-inspired images of borderlands animals whose necessary patterns of natural migrations would be damaged and disrupted by the proposed U.S./Mexico border wall.

The Border Biodiversity project is a collaboration between graduate and undergraduate students working with the UCSC Norris Center for Natural History, with support from OpenLab Collaborative Research Center with in the Art Department. Supplies provided, or bring your own fabric or shirts to print on.

Free and open to the public.

Parking permit required at UCSC. $5 permit at paystation at Porter Lot 125:  valid from 4:30pm until 8:30pm on weekdays. Permits are only valid in the parking lot near the paystation. Use public transportation; bus stop close by.
