A special concert in memory of Ali Akbar Khan, the founder of UCSC's Classical Indian Music program, as well as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the program. Featuring Aashish Khan, sarode, with Pranesh Khan, tabla.

Descended from the illustrious family of great musicians, Aashish Khan is considered one of India’s greatest living sarode players. In addition his virtuosity as a traditional sarodist, Aashish Khan is known as a pioneer in world music. He is currently Visiting Professor of Music at UC Santa Cruz.
