Deborah Munk [Director of the Arts Program, San Francisco, Recycling and Disposal, Inc ]

Deborah Munk is the director of the Artist in Residence Program at
Recology San Francisco and has spent the last ten years working with
artists who create art out of San Francisco's detritus. She was the
assistant editor of "Parallels and Intersections, Women Artists in
California" published by UC Press, in 2002 and holds a Master's Degree
in Educational Technology focusing on art and media. She manages the
Environmental Learning Center at Recology where she teaches children
and adults the importance of sustainability and recycling.

Issues and Artists is part of the UCSC Visiting Artist Program, taught by Robert Flynn Johnson this quarter, and focuses on key issues in contemporary art, art theory, and curatorial practice through lectures, discussions and readings.  All visiting artist lectures listed are free and open to the public. Parking on campus requires purchase of a guest parking pass at the Performing Arts lot.
