Theater: “Spring Awakening”

Student director Rosie Glen-Lambert and a team of student actors and designers stage this controversial play, written in 1891 and first performed in 1906. The play follows the lives of three adolescents and criticizes the sexually-oppressive culture of 19th-century Germany around teenage desire, suicide, abortion, and homosexuality. Translation by Jonathan Franzen.

Note: this is NOT the musical version. The play contains adult themes and is not recommended for young audiences.
