The installation, especially created for the Sesnon Gallery, is based on the classic children's story by Shel Silverstein. The story opens up questions about our environment and the balances of need and want in human nature.

As a participatory element to the exhibition and in keeping with the holiday spirit in a time of economic hardship, visitors  are encouraged to bring a donation of socks for the Santa Cruz County Homeless Persons' Health Project. Bring a pair of new or clean, matched, or nearly new socks to the opening.
