Opera: "The Little Prince"

Appropriate for audiences of all ages, this opera version of The Little Prince brings to life all the joy and wonder of the beloved story. With colorful sets, vibrant and interactive projections, delightful costumes, and live orchestra.

Nicole Paiement conducts the UCSC Orchestra in this opera in two acts by Rachel Portman based on the 1943 book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Set to an English libretto by Nicholas Wright. Student singers are directed by Brian Staufenbiel.

Sunday matinee: 3:00pm

We very strongly recommend you arrive 30 minutes before curtain to secure parking in the adjacent lot or in the remote parking garage (Core West) and to get to your seat before the lights go down. Patrons arriving after the performance starts will be seated at an appropriate point determined by the artistic and house management.
