Question Bridge: Black Males

A roundtable discussion in response to the issues raised by Question Bridge: Black Males, the exhibition about being Black and identifying as male in the United States. The discussion will be moderated by artist Chris Johnson, who originated the Question Bridge concept. Question Bridge is currently on exhibition at the Mary Porter Sesnon Gallery.

Panelists will include:
- Santa Cruz city councilmember Drew Glover
- UCSC professor of history David Anthony
- academic counselor Abiel Russom
- retired Watsonville teacher JJ Porter
- UCSC undergraduate student Jason Harper

6:30 p.m. Reception and Video Screening
7-8 p.m. Roundtable

This event is FREE and open to the public.
Metered or permit parking is available in Lot 162 serving Oakes College and Rachel Carson College (formerly College Eight).

Question Bridge: Black Males was created by artists Chris Johnson, Hank Willis Thomas, Bayeté Ross Smith, and Kamal Sinclair. The video work is in the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Oakland Museum of California. The exhibition catalogue, Question Bridge: Black Males in America, was published by Aperture in 2015.
