The UCSC Concert Choir, conducted by Nathaniel Berman, presents a concert of Renaissance sacred music based on secular tunes. Featuring the early music ensemble Apostasy, the concert will explore Renaissance-era secular tunes, including "The Western Wind", "L'homme Armé", and "Mille Regretz", and sacred compositions by Morales, Palestrina, and Taverner (called "parody masses") built on those popular melodies. Featured will be John Taverner's complete "Western Wind Mass".
