The UCSC Jazz Ensembles present a double-header concert, featuring the UCSC Small Jazz Ensembles, directed by Stan Poplin, and the UCSC Jazz Big Band, directed by Charles Hamilton.

Part I: “New Reflections”
UCSC Small Jazz Ensembles reflect on varied contemporary musical influences.

Part II: "Contemporary Big Band Jazz: From 1972 to Current Composers"
UCSC Jazz Big Band features Dr. David Hardiman, educator, performer, composer, bandleader, recording artist, lifetime member of Musicians Union Local 6, and the bugler at Golden Gate Fields.

The Recital Hall has 386 fixed seats and offers space for 5 wheelchairs and guests/companions.
This concert is general admission.
