Donna Haraway is a Distinguished Professor Emerita from the History of
Consciousness and Feminist Studies departments at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  Professor Haraway's work through publications such as Primate Visions: Gender, Race and Nature in the World of Modern Science, Simians, Cyborgs and Women: The Reinvention of Nature, and The Companion Species Manifesto: Dogs, People, and Significant Otherness has redefined the contours of numerous fields, including
Anthropology, Science and Technology Studies, Feminist Studies, as well as Cultural and Visual Studies.  Haraway's contributions as a theorist and interlocutor across disciplines are underscored by the role of her scholarship as foundational texts across multiple fields of study.
