This quarter's theme, "Sapphic Cinemania: Female Authorship and Queer Desires," explores cinematic adaptations of Sappho. From silent classics to cult classics, Sappho was played by the greats, from Theda Bara to Greta Garbo. What was so dangerous about Sappho? Come see for yourself.
