A series of films that pay tribute to the many amazing filmmakers and artists who have died in recent months, from filmmaker William Greaves, to makeup artist Dick Smith, to screen legend Lauren Bacall: it's Wednesday Night Dead Poets Cinema Society!

Screenings are hosted by faculty members Irene Lusztig, Irene Gustafson with graduate student Ben Schultz-Figueroa. (Note: There will be no screening on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving)

October 8 - "Symbiopsychotaxiplasm" (William Greaves, filmmaker)
October 15 - "Daisies" (Věra Chytilová, filmmaker)
October 22 - "The Panhandler Project" and "Desperado" (Barbara DeGenevieve, video and performance artist)
October 29 - "The Exorcist" (Dick Smith, "The Godfather of Make-up")
November 5 - "Images of the World and the Inscription of War" (Harun Farocki, filmmaker)
November 12 - "The World According to Garp" (Robin Williams, actor)
November 19 - "Workingman's Death" (Michael Glawogger, filmmaker)
December 3 - "The Master" (Philip Seymour Hoffman, actor)
December 10 - "Written on the Wind" (Lauren Bacall, legend and star)
