Name That Seat! The Mainstage Legacy Project

UCSC Arts Division is launching a fun and creative giving opportunity that leaves a legacy for the arts as well—the Mainstage Seat Naming Legacy Project. This exciting campaign will launch on July 24, when patrons and theater lovers will be able to go to http://arts.ucsc.edu/seatnaming and click on options to reserve and gift a seat in the name of a student, an alum, a loved one, or to leave a legacy of love for the arts.

An innovative idea in gift-giving for parents, grandparents, alumni, students, faculty or staff and corporate marketing, the Mainstage Legacy Project helps create gifts to honor and remember. The proceeds of these individually named theater seats, complete with prominently displayed brass plaque/s, will benefit Theater Arts productions, undergraduate and graduate students and faculty as well as supporting current and future Shakespeare Santa Cruz seasons at UCSC.

There is no limit to how many seats one person or family or organization can name.  Seat/Plaque locations will be based upon the level of the gift.  Levels can be viewed on the seating chart online after July 24th.

All of the information needed to make seat donations —to see the seating chart for the theater, choose the location desired, and to make a pledge— will be online starting July 24 at http://arts.ucsc.edu/seatnaming.

For questions before July 24, please contact Arts Development Director Lesley Brander at 831.334-8391.
