Jimin Lee: "All Over"

In Lee’s solo exhibition entitled "All Over," she exhibited thirty-four recent multi-form print media works that included a collaborative work with composer Frank Harris that featured an original musical score and an animated video using the four prints in her “Lake Merritt” series.  This exhibition focused on themes of mobility, displacement and labor on the personal and social level as seen in traffic, places of transport, or objects that move or are "in motion" -- travel in both the daily and migratory sense.  Lee also presented prints utilized new options that she has investigated for recent years, i.e., direct-to-plate photogravure, and laser-cut woodblock printing.  These processes all involve technical innovations, of which UV-cured inkjet printing and laser cutting are two examples.

All Over was held at three different venues in Korea and China during the month of September 2014.
