Find out about presenting your work at the San Francisco International Arts Festival in May 2020 as part of the SFIAF organization's ongoing program to feature performing artists who are recent graduates (one to five years) from the arts programs of Northern California's Institutions of Higher Learning.
The goal of the program is to offer low-risk opportunities for younger people who are at a stage of their careers where they have decided to become generative artists. Specifically those who are in the process of creating an external or formal structure to sustain and manage their careers (i.e. an ensemble, band, 501(c)(3), sole proprietorship or another form of support mechanism) that will enable them to build a place for themselves in the performing arts business.
*NOTE: Current junior standing students are encouraged to attend the meeting on Dec. 4th, since this event will be for those who will be post graduate students on May 2020.

Each Fall, the Circle of Change Leadership Experience hosts an annual three-day national leadership conference in Los Angeles, California geared towards helping 250 plus diverse student leaders discover the leader from within, develop the leadership and professional skills necessary to attain career leadership success, and the inspiration needed to help these incredible student leaders make a positive impact in their community, nation, and world!
In order to attain this goal each year with the conference, not only have we created an incredible team of keynote speakers, leadership coaches, and set of panelists from top tier companies and organizations, but we have created a variety of life changing leadership experiences built upon five specific learning outcomes which are Interpersonal Development, Leadership Development, Professional Development, Socially Responsible Leadership, and the Value of Diversity.
The specific goals of each learning outcomes are provided below:
- Interpersonal Development – students will learn more about themselves and how that translates into effective leadership in the 21st Century.
- Leadership Development – students will learn about more than twenty different leadership skills and qualities that leaders must possess in the 21st Century in order to be effective.
- Professional Development – students learn about more the different professional skills that must be attained in order to evolve and experience career leadership success in the 21st Century.
- Socially Responsible Leadership – students will learn about the importance of social responsibility, ethical decision-making, civic engagement, social justice, and service learning.
- Value of Diversity – students learn about the importance of diversity in the 21st Century, and discover how to interact, collaborate, appreciate, and lead diverse groups of people more effectively.

The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors Foundation
The foundation currently has grants available for undergraduate and graduate students for funds to complete their thesis films, television programs, videos and interactive projects. You will find the application link and information explaining the grants HERE, along with the grant application HERE. Students must submit ALL materials by June 1st for a Spring/Summer grant and January 15th for a Winter grant.
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY FOR CONSIDERATION: Applicants must be a US citizen enrolled in a program at an accredited College, University or Conservatory that requires a final project (thesis) in Television, Film, Video or Interactive Media for completion of the program. Students must demonstrate financial need and project production viability. Projects must be no more than 60 minutes in length if a documentary, 25 minutes if a narrative work, or 30 minutes if reality, game show or news show-type format.

Walt Disney Animation Studios Summer Internship Program is a 9-week experience designed for students studying art, animation, computer graphics, and film. As a Talent Development intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with a Disney mentor as you explore all aspects of art, storytelling, and filmmaking.

The Blizzard Internship Program gives students the opportunity to work directly with development teams and business operations departments to gain hands-on experience. For 12 paid weeks every summer, interns embed themselves with their teams to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the intensity and fun of creating epic entertainment.
The US internship application season runs from September to December every year. Due to the high volume, applications are only accepted during this open submission period.

We seek qualified candidates to assist in a wide range of museum operations. We offer a number of projects that can offer the candidate experience in Educational Outreach and Development, Museum Library & Archives, Marketing, Event Coordination, and Exhibition Preparation & Production. We do also accept interns on a rolling basis, however priority is given to those applying before the deadline.
Internships require a minimum commitment of 120 hours and 10 weeks. If your school's internship requirements are less than the Museum's internal minimum, please disclose the required hours and timeframe in your application. If candidates are seeking school credit, it is important that candidates check with affiliate institutions and meet organizations’ requirements as well.
UCDC Internship Program (fall or winter 2018 quarter)

The UCDC (quarter in Washington, D.C.) Program supervises and supports students who pursue internships and academic study in the nation’s capital. The program is open through a competitive application process to juniors and seniors (occasionally sophomores) in all majors. Students enroll for fall, winter, or spring quarter, earn 12-17 course credits, and continue to be registered as full-time students. Applicant selection is based on academic record, a written statement, letters of recommendation, and possibly a personal interview.
Students spend 30 hours each week at their internships. Washington, D.C. offers a wide array of internship possibilities, from working on Capitol Hill or in a government agency to interning for a major media outlet, a nonprofit organization, or a cultural institution. Internship placements are geared toward student interests, including but not limited to:
-government and public policy
-science and the environment
-business and finance
-media and communications
Students also attend a weekly research seminar. An essential component of the Washington program, the seminar enables students to draw on Washington’s rich variety of research opportunities to complete a research paper on a subject related to their internships. In addition to the research seminar, students may also opt to take one upper-division elective course from a range of classes offered by faculty at the Washington Center. Elective classes are offered in several disciplines, including the social and natural sciences, arts and humanities. All courses take advantage of Washington’s unique resources for study and research.
Students from all majors are encouraged to apply. Admission is competitive. To be eligible for consideration, students must:
- Currently be a junior or senior (although sophomores from natural sciences and engineering majors may also apply).
- Have a strong academic record.
- Provide two strong letters of recommendation (if possible from faculty rather than TAs or employers).
Final decisions will be made approximately one month from the application deadline. A mandatory orientation for accepted students will happen near the end of the previous quarter (e.g., orientation for fall quarter will be held the preceding spring, etc.).
Admission will be based upon the student's statement of purpose, academic record, letters of recommendation, and in some cases a personal interview. Consideration is also given to the distribution of academic disciplines participating in the program. Participation in UCDC changes the way in which a student meets residency requirements for a degree. Contact your college academic preceptor for more information.
