Artists Fellow

The Social Practice Arts Research Center welcomes fellows in the development of new projects from artist researchers specialists and groups across disciplines. We help foster collaborative art projects, research, support and provide a forum and location for collaborative meetings. Each year there will be one international artist in residence at SPARC housed at UC Santa Cruz. The Artist in residence will collaborate on our theme-based initiative, conduct independent research and collaborate with the research center community.

Spring 2012: In collaboration with CEC ArtsLink and the University of New Mexico’s International Social Practice Program (ISP), SPARC at UCSC welcomes Latvian artist Kristaps Gulbis as its 2012 Artist Fellow in Residence.
