UCSC's Grammy-nominated percussionist William Winant, joins our concert choir, directed by Nathaniel Berman, in Lou Harrison’s groundbreaking 1973 setting of the Heart Sutra. UCSC percussionists premiere Joshua Spitsbergen's "Foursquare," and guests Ward Spangler, Michael Seth Orland, and Kumi Ueda perform "Secret Wine," by UCSC Professor Hi Kyung Kim, and premiere Spangler's "Second Breath" and doctoral candidate Ma'ayan Tsadka's "SUMUD—Rhetoric Of Oppression In Three Movements." 

Featuring Michael Lindsey, Aiden McKee, Ward Spangler, and William Winant (percussion); Michael Seth Orland and Kumi Ueda (pianos).
