Position: Editorial Intern

JOB SUMMARY:
Chronicle Books’ summer editorial interns work with various editorial teams across our publishing group: Children’s, Art, Entertainment, Food & Lifestyle. In addition to assisting Editors by working on illustrated books, stationery, and gift items, interns will have a variety of responsibilities, including evaluating manuscripts, aiding in submissions, sorting and sending out decline notices as needed, drafting copy and acquisition top-sheets, preparing sales materials, helping with mailings, attending meetings, and handling other administrative tasks. All interns must be highly organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask. Editorial or copywriting experience is a plus.
