Individual Research Assistance
Up to five awards will be made to support individual ladder rank faculty research. Eligible expenses include graduate or undergraduate student research assistance, travel expenses, and the purchase of research related equipment. A complete application should include:
- a cover sheet
- a project description (2-3 pages, double spaced, see instructions below) and a brief budget
- a brief curriculum vitae (2 pages maximum)
Project Description Guidelines for all Arts Research Institute Programs:
The project description should:
- state the objectives, ideas, and methodology of the project
- discuss the project's significance and originality with reference to current scholarship and/or arts practice
- specify the interdisciplinary scope of the project, if appropriate
- include a timetable and work plan, specifying project activities in the proposed award period
- define the project's target audience(s) and the form(s) in which the research will eventually disseminated (e.g. book, article, art exhibit, performance, etc.)
2020-21 Application Opens: Thursday, April 1, 2021
2020-21 Application Deadline: Monday, April 19, 2021
Individuals will be informed about funding as soon as possible and grants may commence immediately.
