Employee ID Number
You will be assigned a unique employee ID (EID) number. You can locate your EID by logging into UCPath. It is listed on the left hand side under “My Information.”
CruzID and UCSC Email
Your CruzID gives you access to campus systems and sets up your @ucsc email. You will receive instructions from ITS on how to activate your CruzID and set up your Blue and Gold passwords.
CruzPay
CruzPay is UCSC’s online time reporting system. Information about your CruzPay account will be sent to your @ucsc email if you are required to submit a timesheet. Monthly employees with appointments that are eligible for leave (vacation, sick leave, paid time off) are required to submit a time sheet every month, reporting leave taken, if any. Biweekly employees are required to submit a timesheet every biweekly pay period; reporting hours worked and leave taken (if eligible). To ensure on-time pay, please submit your timesheet by the deadline.
Employee ID Card
If you need an employee ID card, please contact your department. Departments may or may not be able to provide an ID card depending on their internal practices as well as your title, duration of employment, and access needs. If your department approves, you will need to have an active UCSC email address and you must upload a photo to ID Card Services before receiving your ID card. Additionally, if you will need to access CCURE spaces, you must also have completed your hiring paperwork and have been issued a UCPath employee ID (EID) number before receiving your ID card. Please see ID Card Services for further details.
