Celebrating the music of Thelonious Sphere Monk
UCSC’s Jazz Big Band features over 20 of UCSC’s top student musicians from many majors and disciplines—from music to astrophysics to economics. The band will perform pieces from the Thelonious Monk canon, including Ruby, My Dear, Straight No Chaser; and Bemsha Swing.
