Two journalists reflect on their longtime mutual friend, Oliver Sacks. And How Are You, Dr. Sacks? is a biographical memoir about Oliver Sacks written by Ren Weschler. It is the definitive portrait of Sacks as our preeminent romantic scientist, a self-described “clinical ontologist” whose entire practice revolved around the single fundamental question he effectively asked each of his patients: How are you? A question which Ren, with this book, turns back on the good doctor himself. Joining Ren is Radiolab's Robert Krulwich, who spent decades in deep and delightful conversation with frequent guest Sacks on topics ranging from music to hallucinations and the human experience.
