The "Friday Night Live" concert series continues with a program called "Baroque Flute on Tour" — featuring music from baroque composers of different countries and contrasting styles.

Music by J.S. Bach, Corelli, Couperin, Pellegrini, D'anglebert, and Leclair.

Flutist Greer Ellison performs on both modern and baroque flutes. She is a member of the California Symphony and freelances in the Bay Area. She has been soloist and given master classes in South America, the U.S., and most recently at the National Flute Convention in 2010. After her graduate work was completed in this country, she studied baroque flute with Barthold Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, The Netherlands, for two years on an ITT grant. Greer also teaches the Alexander Technique. She recorded the Guillemain Quartets with Ensemble Mirable. See www.greerellison.com   

 

Harpsichordist JungHae Kim performs solo and with period chamber groups including Ensemble Mirable and Agave Baroque throughout the U.S. and in Europe. She has performed with San Francisco Symphony and New Century Chamber Orchestra. Her degrees include a B.M. in Harpsichord from Peabody Conservatory, M.M. in Historical Performance from Oberlin Conservatory, and an Advanced Degree from Sweelinck Conservatory. She completed studies with Gustav Leonhardt. Her recordings include D’Anglebert 1689 Pieces de Clavecin, Bach Harpsichord Concertos on Antique Instruments, and Guillemain Quartets. Kevin Cooper is a classical and baroque guitarist from Central California with an affinity for the extremes of modern and early music. Kevin performs as a soloist and as a member of the Coprario Consort, Agave Baroque, and Ensemble Mirable. He records for Lifescapes, Lorenz Corporation, and Doberman Editions.
