UCSC's annual Irwin exhibition showcases visual art works by top students in the UCSC Art Department. Selected participants receive merit scholarships to further their education from the generosity of the William Hyde and Susan Benteen Irwin Scholarship Fund. Irwin 2018 exhibits art by 12 students whose work represents a variety of media, including printmaking, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and electronic media. Student scholars are selected by faculty nomination and portfolio review. [more information here]

This year’s scholar-artists are: 

Irma Barbosa, Krystal Barrera, Patricia Garcia, Jorge Gomez-Gonzalez, Tom-Jhon Hamouzas, Kelly Leung, Ishmael Lipman, Soren Neumeister, Melissa Ortiz, Thovatey Tep, Veronica Wang, and Vincent Williams
 

The exhibition runs from May 30-June 16.
Gallery hours are Tuesday–Saturday 12–5pm and Wednesdays 12–8pm.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Wednesday, May 30 from 5pm–7pm
Awards ceremony at 6pm.

IRWIN 2018 is made possible by the William Hyde and Susan Benteen Irwin Scholarship Fund, the UCSC Art Department, and the Division of the Arts.

Free and open to the public.
