Albert, the white peacock of Boulder Creek, a symbol of resilience and peace, memorialized in downtown mural

The rare bird survived a BB gun shooting and all manner of predators and speeding vehicles before being felled by a natural predator

A white peacock, lovingly nicknames Albert, became a beloved member of the Boulder Creek community before he died last fall. A new mural was unveiled downtown in honor of the bird, which is only one element of the ways he is being honors. Beth Stephens, a professor of art, is currently working on a documentary about Albert.
