The Sammy Awards celebrate the work of the UCSC games community of students, alumni, and faculty, and are presented in conjunction with UC Santa Cruz Games Showcase earlier in the month of June.
Community Stream Day is an opportunity for student games to be streamed outside of UCSC’s Twitch account. It will take place from 12-noon–6:00 p.m. on July 1, just before the awards ceremony. Anyone can stream! Game teams’ “official” channels, friends, fans, pro streamers, you name it. Be sure to use #SlugShow2021.
The Sammy Awards Ceremony will stream from the UCSC Twitch account (twitch.tv/ucsc_games) from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on July 1. Streamers can host the UCSC channel on their own channel, or do live commentary. All the senior capstone games, GDA games, and games from other classes, as nominated by faculty, will be eligible for awards and feedback from judges.
