UCSC Concert Choir: Stravinsky's "Symphony of Psalms"

The UCSC Concert Choir, joined by the UCSC Wind Ensemble and guest musicians, perform a Russian program featuring Igor Stravinsky's great neoclassical masterpiece, Symphony of Psalms. Also on the program: Gyorgy Sviridov's fascinating secular cantata, Songs of Kursk; Sviridov's settings of Russian peasant songs for choir, soloists, and chamber ensemble; and selections from Sergei Rachmaninov's lush and stirring All Night Vigil.
