“Dead Dog's Bone: A Birthday Play”

2012 “Dharma-Grace” Production
Friday, November 2, 2012 - 12:00am to Sunday, November 11, 2012 - 12:00am
Second Stage, Theater Arts Center (UCSC)
Presented by:
Theater Arts Department

A new play by Theater Arts alumna Veronica Tjioe is a journey backwards, forwards (and everywhere in between), through a family's disjointed life. The plot centers around the unfortunate predicament in which the family dog has found himself. The character Juniper attempts to piece together her family, her love life, and herself. The family, the boyfriend, and the dog each make pensive explorations into their pasts, and we discover just how these people have come to be as they are. The symbolic and, at times, dream-like world of "Dead Dog's Bone: A Birthday Play" gives us new form of telling a story and feeling we all know: searching.
