The Bay Area’s premiere mariachi ensemble, Mariachi Mexicanisimo de Raymundo Coronado, presents an afternoon of the vibrant music of Mexico, performing the classic repertoire of sones, huapangos, and rancheras by composers such as José Alfredo Jiménez, Rubén Fuentes, Juan Gabriel, and more. The concert also includes the newly formed student ensemble, Mariachi Eterno de UCSC, under the direction of professor Russell C. Rodríguez.
Presented by the UCSC Music Department as part of the Global Music Series.
