COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR ATTENDING INDOOR EVENTS AT UC SANTA CRUZ

The Arts Division is very pleased to welcome audiences to indoor events at UC Santa Cruz! We request that you not come onto campus or enter any University facilities or physical spaces if you feel unwell or have recently tested positive for COVID-19.

• Event attendees must follow COVID-19 mitigation requirements as outlined below.
• Those who do not meet specified requirements will not be permitted entry.
• Help speed things along by arriving early and having proper documentation ready.

Please review the COVID details for any indoor event you are planning to attend.

PROOF OF VACCINATION
• CDC vaccine card, image, or digital record accepted. International attendees may show their translated vaccine record.
• Applies to all attendees age 5 and over. (Children under age 5 are not currently eligible for vaccine at this time. See below for PCR test requirement.)
• A person is considered “fully” vaccinated when two weeks have passed since they completed a COVID-19 Vaccine series (for example, 1 dose of the Janssen/J&J vaccine, or 2 doses within no more than 12 weeks of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine); as well as any boosters consistent with manufacturer instructions and applicable agency approval, authorization, or listing. A booster is not required.

PROOF OF NEGATIVE PCR TEST
Applies to all attendees, regardless of age. (Age 0-4 must show negative PCR test since vaccine is not available for that age group.)
• Result from a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start of the event.
• Home tests/antigen tests are not accepted.

* MASKING / FACE COVERING (WHERE REQUIRED)
Some indoor performance events at UCSC continue to require masking.  The masking protocol for these events may supersede UCSC's April 10, 2022 policy update on masking.
• Once inside the venue, all attendees must wear an approved face covering that covers the nose and mouth for the duration of the event.
• If you need to uncover your nose or mouth at any time, we ask that you kindly step outside the venue. An usher will be glad to re-admit you when you are masked.

UCSC SYMPTOM CHECK FOR UCSC EMPLOYEES
• UCSC Employees:  Complete questionnaire on the date of the event.
• After completing the online questionnaire, an email certificate indicating “Cleared” or “Not Cleared” will be emailed to you.
• Present the "Cleared" email at the event.

• Those who are unable to complete the form online may review the questions posted at the venue and attest to an usher that their answers are "NO."
• No longer required of visitors as of May 9.

Please carefully review the COVID details for any event you are planning to attend.
