Margaret Wolfson is the Founder/Chief Creative of River + Wolf, a top ranked New York City based brand naming service and messaging company. River + Wolf works with worldwide clients of all size and in all industries. A sought after thought leader on the art and science of brand naming and storytelling, she has been featured in Forbes, The Next Web, The New York Times, NBC, the Huffington Post, and Fast Company, to mention a few. In addition to her branding work, Margaret is an award-winning author and accomplished artist-entrepreneur with a long history of producing/performing spoken arts and music concerts in such places as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Sydney Opera House, the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Festival, and hundreds of other cultural and educational venues. Margaret received an MA from New York University in theater and literature.

The 2018 Arts Dean’s Lecture Series on Creative Entrepreneurship is part of the Arts Division’s new creative entrepreneurship initiative entitled Artist21, this year’s series features a distinguished roster of arts practitioners, creatives, educators, and advocates who provide illuminating insights, practical tools, and personal stories on how to shape an artistic or arts-related career in the 21st century.

As a component of the course THEA 7-01 taught by Dean Susan Solt with Co-Instructor Nada Miljkovic, the series is open to graduates and undergraduates. Non-arts students are also welcome to enroll in the course and attend the series. The public is invited.
