Internships are one of the best ways for students to build their resume, make professional contacts, and understand what kinds of work they find exciting and engaging, all through hands-on experiential learning in the workplace. Please review the list of opportunities below. We post relevant opportunities from all employers, and highlight our Partner Organizations who are particularly interested in hiring UCSC student interns and/or have a history of working with the Arts Division.

This internship is with AMC Networks and is part of the Gold Rising Program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members. Art Bridges Internship Program is now accepting applications for summer 2023 and the 2023-2024 academic year positions. Art Bridges interns will receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development during their time with the foundation. Through collaborations and projects, interns will gain a more comprehensive view of career paths and opportunities in the arts and cultural sectors. Applications reviewed February 13, 2023
Circle of Confusion Internship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be eligible to receive credit
- Must be able to intern 2 - 3 full days (9:00am - 6:00pm) remotely
- Attendance at mandatory virtual events including orientation
- Must be available to intern from early May through late August, 2022. (Upon acceptance, your internship start and end dates will be flexible.)

Since 2009, CURRENTS New Media has been bringing together artists from across the globe to exhibit in our annual art & technology festival in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. Through our annual call for entries, we seek out artists and performers utilizing new technologies and working in innovative ways to create our immersive exhibition and festival.
CURRENTS is truly a community effort consisting of our dedicated staff, our fantastic interns, our installation crew, our network of volunteers, our partner venues that host events during the festival and all of the artists from near and far who exhibit in the festival. Join our team!

iTVS Open Call
Get funding and support to complete your single nonfiction program for broadcast on public television- whether you are an emerging filmmaker or veteran producer. iTVS is looking for exceptional storytelling that’s in line with their mission: stories that take risks, tackle important issues, address the needs of underserved audiences, and are seldom seen in public media. They know how hard you’ve worked on your project, and they'll partner with you to help you finish it, then distribute it on public television. Deadline to submit is February 22, 2022 11:59PM PST. LA County Arts Program
The LA County Arts Internship Program (AIP) will provide 228 university and community college students with paid on-the-job experience in the arts at over 150 nonprofit organizations starting this summer. Applications for interested students are open now.

Please review their website for updates on internship opportunities at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Unless otherwise noted, internship applicants must be currently enrolled in an academic program or a recent graduate (within 1 year).
MonkeyPaw Productions Internship
We are looking for an undergraduate or graduate intern interested in all areas of film and television production with a special passion for the horror and/or science fiction genres. We are a relatively small company with a large number of active projects. This allows for a broad range of exposure to all aspects of a production company and a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities. This may include reading scripts, writing coverage, research, assisting with social media and general office duties. Our Summer 2022 internship will very likely take place in-person, and so candidates who are located (or intend to be located) in the Los Angeles area are preferred.
Moving Picture Institute Internship Program
Our interns regularly receive offers of full-time employment from their host companies and go on to work in Hollywood full-time. Though we consider applications on a rolling basis, it is best to apply for summer internship positions as early as possible, usually in February. Due to the high volume of applications for limited spaces, we are unable to contact everyone who has applied. We will reach out to you if you've advanced beyond the initial stage. No calls please.

SIURP
Summer Introduction to Undergraduate Research Program coordinated by the GANAS Graduate Pathways HSI Initiative. This summer residential program will expose Latinx and other underrepresented students to undergraduate research, graduate school pathways, and careers in academia.

What: Summer Introduction to Undergraduate Research Program (SIURP)
Where: The program will run on the UCSC campus.
Who: Latinx, EOP, and other underrepresented frosh and sophomore students interested in research in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Students can:
- Check out our website starting on February 1 to access the application. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2022 at 3:00 pm.
- Register for our Virtual Information Session taking place on February 4 from 2:00-3:00 pm.
- Save the date for our Application Drop-in Office Hours, February 16 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. The Zoom link for office hours will be posted on our website.
