An Huang Chen

 

An Huang Chen is a native Californian who after 30 years in Washington, D.C. had the opportunity to return to her hometown, Hillsborough, California. There she serves as a school board trustee and is grateful to be contributing to the community that raised her and her daughter, Patti.

 

Chen dedicates her time to a variety of organizations including Stanford Health Care Facilities Committee, San Mateo School Boards Association, Hillsborough Recreation Commission, San Mateo County Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee, and the San Francisco Symphony.

 

Chen studied business administration at Georgetown University and spent the majority of her professional career as a founding member at The Advisory Board Company, working to reform health care systems nationally. Most recently, she helped to build and manage the renowned Intercontinental Hotel in Monterey, CA. She finds pockets of joy with Patti traveling, baking, and fostering puppies.
