Offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of migrant families torn apart by detention and deportation, film-goers journey with researcher Cinthya Martinez to Adelanto, the largest immigrant prison in California. Featuring compelling first-hand accounts from young activists who have been detained and put their bodies on the line, Ghosts of Adelanto intertwines stories of family separation, haunting, and resilience against a backdrop of systemic injustice. Exposing the often-hidden narratives of immigrant detention, the film centers on courageous feminist and queer undocumented activists who have emerged to forge a blossoming movement to Abolish ICE.
